INFORMATION PURSUANT TO REG. (EU) NO. 808/2014 AND 669/2016 ON PUBLICITY AND INFORMATION OBLIGATIONS FOR BENEFICIARIES

 

La Latteria Sociale del Fornacione S.C.A. has obtained approval for a project supported as part of operation 4.2.01 of the Emilia-Romagna RDP 2014/2020 – Sectoral projects – and is therefore a beneficiary of financial support from the European Union through the EAFRD (link: http://europa.eu/legislation_summaries/agriculture/general_framework/l60032_it.htm)

Pursuant to Resolution of the Regional Council of Emilia Romagna No 1630/2016, the following compulsory information is provided from the approval by the Region of Emilia-Romagna for an aid application for farm production investments pursuant to Regional Council Resolution Tender No. 227/2017 et seq.

Project title: CHEESE FACTORY DEVELOPMENT – FELINA FACTORY – VIA DEL FORNACIONE 3 – CASTELNOVO NE’ MONTI (RE)

Objectives and expected results::The project proposed by the Fornacione dairy farm involves developing the existing salting room, the whey cooling plant and the milk processing department.

This project, in line with the sectoral project, meets two of the strategies provided for by the regional tender that focus on quality:

  • to incentivise the production/sale of highly distinctive products with a high service content, and innovation;
  • to incentivise the streamlining and development of logistics.

The project helps the needs of the cooperative and the sectoral project to add a unique, distinctive touch to the production of Parmigiano Reggiano because it is made in the Apennine Ridge following production and feed specifications primarily with feed from the mountains as set by the Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese Consortium for the mountain product, and shared among those involved in the sector.

The investments are aimed at sector strategies to diversify production regarding market needs/requests, particularly abroad, and for the right maturing of cheeses over 24 and 30 months.

Finally, the investments are aimed at streamlining transport, logistics and handling of the quantity of whey and the product during ageing.

Expenditure eligible for support: €245,382.05.

Amount of financial support from the European Union: €85,883.72.
